they have cobble stoned streets, and the water canals... I only got to see a small section of Venice

I was there in February 2005 - yes - in winter. But it was really beautiful. I went to Venice, Rome (and Vatican City) and Florence. I had just missed the carnival in Venice, but they were still selling the masks everywhere, and there was still confetti in the streets
